DMV Certified Teen Driver Education Course: DE Class Portal Link

This course is for teenagers who have a current Vermont Learner's Permit and want to obtain a Vermont Driver's License, and meets all state requirements. Attendance is required for all scheduled classes. Students must also be able to attend two driving appointments each week during the session.

• Students must be available for driving appointments (for Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer I Sessions) Monday thru Friday 6:30am, 3:00pm, 4:15pm and on Sundays 7:30am, 11:15am.
• Please note that you may be required to schedule at least a few 6:30am driving appointments.
• If you are not able to commit to the above attendance and driving appointment requirements please do not enroll.
• 30 hours of classroom training
• 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training
• 6 hours of observation

Costs: In order to enroll in a class, please enroll using the Essex Junction Recreation and Parks link or by calling 802-878-6944. All enrollments, waitlists, and payments are handled by EJRP. Tuition will depend on class size and location costs. Epic Driving, LLC currently offers classes at ejrp.org in Essex Junction for $850.00.

Scheduled dates: June 2, 4, 9, 11,17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27, July 1, 2, 3. Driving appointments will be 1 1/2 hour in length and twice a week for students.

2024 Summer II Session: All classes weekdays 6:30-8:30PM; Mandatory virtual parent/student orientation night 6:30-8:30PM, July 29. Scheduled dates: July 30, 31, August 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, 29. Driving appointments will be 1 1/2 hour in length and twice a week for students.

2024 Fall Session: September 29-November 19 | Tuesdays 6:30-8:30 PM and Sundays 9:00-11:00 AM | Driving appointments will be 1 1/2 hour in length and once a week for students.

2024/2025 Winter Session: December 3-February 4 | Tuesdays 6:30-8:30 PM and Sundays 9:00-11:00 AM | Driving appointments will be 1 1/2 hour in length and once a week for students.

Adult 6x6 Driver's Education Class

This course is for adults over the age of 18 who seek basic or supplemental driver training. All classes will meet virtually using Google Meet, and require an internet connection and camera. Course curriculum covers getting to know the vehicle, basic driving skills, review of the rules & laws of the road, driving in hazardous situations, defensive driving techniques, and VT DMV road test preparation. • Email support during and after class for any questions or concerns
• A 10% returning customer discount for any additional tutoring hours booked

Costs: $579.00 includes all classroom instruction, driving appointments, and course material.

Individual and Small Group Classes

Create individualized or small group classes that focus on differentiated, adapted, and flexible instruction. Classes will be created in collaboration with administrative staff, families, and locations where qualified space is available.

Costs: Tuition will be dependent on class size and location costs.

Tutoring

Private tutoring available customized to meet the needs of the individual.

Costs: $80.00 per hour for driving appointments starting and ending at pre-approved location. $85.00 per hour for driving appointments requiring a pick up and drop off service. Pick up and drop off service is only offered within a five mile radius of Essex Junction City Center and need prior approval from Epic Driving. Package rates (four hours or more) will include a 10% discount.

Consultation for schools and families

Support private schools and families to create in tailored Driver Education Programs to include:

• Consultation on DMV requirements
• Space & location needs
• Curriculum design, implementation
• Program assessment.

Costs: Consultation fee will be based on client needs and type of consultation
